Terrific place with decent staff and fast wi-fi. Spacious room, spotless bathroom. The beds big. All in all brilliant and decent setting just next door to Chelmsford as well as town centre. Excellent service offered. What a good stay, nothing too much trouble.

The bath towels could still be used. As long as they are not found on the floor, they could be left in the bathroom. I think that this could be a more natural place to act. Bathroom's great too.

The place was fantastic and the restaurant was magnificent. The location of the hotel was great and lovely - at a medium distance from an Anglican cathedral.The breakfast served was delicious and good, with reheated sausages, bacon, plus a straightforward offering.The service was helpful as we had expected.

Location
Found it difficult to find entrance to hotel not signposted well enough. Pillows were cheap. Duvet on bed was cheap and too small. Probably synthetic. Towel shelf was missing a rod therefore when you removed a towel the others began to fall backwards. Mirror strip in bathroom had several bits of sellotape covering cracks. Found a letter in the room addressed to a previous resident telling them off for smoking in the room. only one plastic cup left in room for the two of us. Walls seemed thin as could hear people in other rooms

The hotel is nicely appointed and beautifully designed with friendly and efficient staff who excel in customer service. The units are tastefully decorated and well-appointed in a new modern style. The location is central, close to the cathedral, shops, and restaurants.

Convenient for the station and shops. Room was comfortable and air- conditioning worked well as the weather was unusually hot. Receptionist very helpful & carried case upstairs as no lift.
Disappointed with the standard/choice of food in restaurant.
